NIMBU is a NYC/India-based indie-dance singer-songwriter, rapper, DJ, producer, and visual artist. Entirely self-produced, she melts together the sounds of her eclectic Indian-American adolescence– her father's hums of Kishore Kumar classics; the soulful hip-hop mixtapes exchanged on the school bus; and the house grooves she has spun across dance-floors in New York, San Francisco, DC, Bombay, Bangalore, Goa and Pondicherry.

Her classic Bollywood-inspired sound traverses a variety of genres from alternative hip-hop to indie dance to house music. As a resident DJ at Half Moon BK, she is constantly scavaging for unheard sounds from the South Asian diaspora, informing her DJ sets and original work. Featured by Rolling Stone, Apple Music, Universal Music, Audiomack and Live Nation’s One to Watch, NIMBU is set to be the next rising star in the growing genre of South Asian-fusion music.
